Today my chest hurts. It hurts to see how those who only came here to work and live in peace are being persecuted. This morning in Los Angeles, federal ICE and FBI agents carried out well-coordinated operations, as if they were going after dangerous criminals. But what they did was go after workers—after migrants who keep this city running with their labor.

No es la frontera, es el color de nuestra piel

Ser un migrante de color en Estados Unidos no es solo cruzar una frontera física. Es vivir todos los días con la carga de una sospecha. Es ver cómo tu piel habla por ti antes de que abras la boca, cómo tu acento es escuchado como amenaza, cómo tu trabajo es invisibilizado y tu humanidad cuestionada.
