We are calling on all allies and people of conscience to Adopt a Day Labor Corner in your local community. What we’re witnessing in Los Angeles and across Southern California—ICE raids, armored vehicles, and masked agents—may feel like a distant issue but for immigrant workers, for day laborers, for our neighbors, it is already here. And Los Angeles is a testing ground for what will come soon across the country after the massive increase in ICE funding. This moment demands more than watching. It demands that we show up for one another—in person, nonviolently, with courage, with love, and with urgency. If you are not at risk of deportation, we are asking you to consider taking action today.

Let our love be stronger than their hate. Let our unity be louder than their fear. Let our actions reflect who we really are.

Get Involved

Here’s what we are asking:

Go to your local Home Depot, where immigrant day laborers are at extreme risk of harassment and arrest. Choose a location convenient to you, where day laborers gather and commit to showing up regularly. Be present. Be consistent. Build relationships and offer protection. Remember: Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo. Only the people save the people. That has always been true—and never more than now. We can and should be standing together in the face of injustice—peacefully, powerfully, with love and care. We don’t need to feed their violence, we need to build community.

Upcoming Events Calendar

Use the calendar below to find upcoming trainings and in person events. To register for a training, click on the event title and click on the registration link in each individual event to sign up. Be sure to check back periodically for new events.

Host or Register for Event

We are using a too called Mobilize to encourage volunteers to register for events, actions, or trainings in person or online or join local Adopt a Corner groups. Mobilize also allows volunteers to host events or create solidarity groups in their local area too.
