Mobile Messaging
When users opt in to receive mobile messages from the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), they can expect concise, mission-driven updates and alerts. These messages typically include information about upcoming events like community workshops, legal clinics, rallies, or trainings; timely alerts about changes to relevant labor or immigration policies; announcement and/or promotions of fundraising campaigns or merchandise from online store; and calls to action such as petitions to sign, phone banks to join, or meetings with legislators. Messages may also share stories from workers and immigrants, resources for legal support, and opportunities to volunteer or donate. The tone is usually clear, actionable, and respectful of users’ time and privacy. Organizations often send reminders for events or deadlines, urgent advocacy notices when rapid response is needed, and periodic newsletters summarizing recent wins or ongoing campaigns. Users will generally receive messages that help them stay informed, engaged, and connected to the broader movement for worker and immigrant rights.
