LOS ANGELES, Nov. 7 – The National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) and Angelenos are calling on the Los Angeles Dodgers to stand with the city that stands with them. Our love for this team runs deep because the Dodgers are part of the soul of Los Angeles – a city built by workers and families who fill the stadium and give the team its heart.
We know the Dodgers organization gave $1 million to support immigrant communities. None of that money went to NDLON, and we don’t seek or want any of it. Our message is not about money – it’s about solidarity, dignity, and staying true to the people who make this city what it is.
We speak directly to the players: you represent the hopes of Los Angeles. Please don’t turn your backs on the community that loves you. Think of your fans, your neighbors, and the pain so many live with every day. Stand with us. Stand with Los Angeles. Stand with love.
