MEDIA ADVISORY

Pasadena, CA – On Saturday, June 13, one year after immigration raids began in the Los Angeles area, the communities of Pasadena and Altadena stand united. The day laborers and workers who have dedicated themselves to rebuilding the neighborhoods after the devastating 2025 fires continue to live under fear and threat. On June 13, community members will form a human shield, a living act of love, protection, and solidarity, for the sacred place they call home.

Who protects the hands rebuilding our homes? La Muralla Humana / The Human Shield is a peaceful, powerful community action to answer that question. We protect each other. We stand together with those who have given their hands, their labor, and their lives to rebuild what the fires took from us — because only the people save the people. Solo el Pueblo Salva al Pueblo.
