Los Angeles, CA – In a time marked by escalating attacks on immigrants, growing disinformation, and the normalization of state violence, we continue to build our own tools to resist, organize, and survive. The ICE Out of LA Podcast, hosted by longtime immigrant rights organizer Nancy Meza, emerges from this tradition of people-powered media, created to to tell the truth from the ground.

Produced by Radio Jornalera and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), the ICE Out of LA Podcast offers sharp political analysis grounded in grassroots organizing across Los Angeles County. The podcast centers the voices and experiences of immigrants and working-class communities while lifting up local campaigns, collective resistance, and the deep solidarity that sustains movements in moments of crisis.

Nancy Meza brings over 15 years of on-the-ground organizing experience to the microphone. She has led local, statewide, and national campaigns in defense of immigrants, students, tenants, and workers, and is widely recognized for her strategic leadership and principled commitment to collective liberation. As host, Meza situates each episode within a clear political framework: that every person–especially immigrants–has inherent dignity, respect, and the right to belong.

The ICE Out of LA Podcast was created in response to a media landscape that too often distorts, criminalizes, or ignores immigrant communities. While mainstream outlets arrive late, or not at all, this podcast speaks directly to the people and stories of the most impacted, offering analysis rooted in community and organizing practice.

At its core, the ICE Out of LA Podcast is grounded in a principle that guides every episode and every campaign it uplifts: Solo El Pueblo Salva Al Pueblo–Only the People Save the People. In a political moment so full of repression and fear, the podcast serves as a space for memory, strategy, and hope, reminding listeners that collective power is possible, tangible, and it is already here.
