At 3 p.m. this afternoon, demonstrators from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Connecticut held a peaceful rally in front of the Burlington regional ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) headquarters, located at 10 New England Executive Park, off of Mall Road, that abuts the Burlington Mall. At the rally, undocumented people delivered thousands of petition signatures to assistant directors Todd Thurlow and Tina Guarna-Armstrong, asking them to close the cases of New England residents that have galvanized support from state officials and Congressional delegations but have yet to be stopped. Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate is debating immigration reform and is expected to take a vote on the matter later today.
