Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has stayed relatively quiet on immigration reform since the Senate bill passed in July, but today he told a Florida television station that Congress must pass legislation that would overhaul the nation’s immigration policies or tempt the President to do something on his own. Rubio is warning Congress that if a comprehensive immigration reform package isn’t passed, President Obama might go around the legislative branch and take executive action to enact changes to current immigration law. Rubio said lawmakers may force the President’s hand if they continue to stall immigration reform legislation on the House.
