SPRING VALLEY – The Jornaleros Project, a humanitarian aid program for day laborers that closed earlier this year for lack of funding, has re-opened at the Mount Zion Sanctuary Church in the village.
Because of limited funding, the center will open three days a week – on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – for five months.Its first day open was yesterday.
The program had previously operated five days a week and year-round at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Spring Valley.
