Sinking Approval, Rising Resistance: Trump’s Immigration Policies Face Public Backlash

A new poll shows that President Trump’s approval on immigration and other issues is sinking. Sinking like the economy. Like America’s standing in the world.

The following is a statement from Pablo Alvarado, Co-Executive Director of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON).

“The American people understand what is happening. The President has vast power. He commands armies and arsenals. No one on earth has a louder megaphone. How weak and small of him to use his mighty office to hurt and terrorize those who cannot hurt him. Immigrants who cannot strike back. Non-citizens whose status already makes them vulnerable. Peaceable workers and parents who have never committed or been convicted of any crimes.
