Welcome to the Adopt a Day Labor Corner Campaign

We are calling on people of conscience to stand with immigrants in their community—literally. To go to the places immigrants gather to work or look for work—Home Depots, car washes, delis, day-labor centers, hiring sites—as allies, witnesses, neighbors and friends. Adopt a Corner is an immediate, urgent call to action, grounded in solidarity. We the people need to defend our communities and one another NOW against our government’s campaign of intimidation, assault, arrests and violence.

This moment demands more than watching. It demands that we show up for one another—in person, nonviolently, with courage, determination and love. If you are not at risk of deportation, we are asking you to consider taking action today.

Let our love be stronger than their hate. Let our unity be louder than their fear. Let our actions reflect who we really are.

Get Involved

Here’s what we are asking:

Find out where day laborers and other immigrant workers in your community are at risk of harassment and arrest. Go there and commit to showing up regularly. Be present. Be consistent. Build relationships and offer protection. Stand beside immigrants in the face of injustice—peacefully, powerfully, with love and care. We don’t need to feed their violence, we need to build community. Remember: Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo. Only the people save the people. That has always been true—and never more than now.

Host or Register for Event

We are using a tool called Mobilize to encourage volunteers to register for events, actions, or trainings in person or online or join local Adopt a Corner groups. Mobilize also allows volunteers to host events or create solidarity groups in their local area too.
